Jieyan Pan, Ph.D, is a research specialist in AAV research vector core who has concentrated his efforts in gene therapy research for retinal diseases. He graduated from Nanjing Agricultural University with a major in Animal Microbiology and pursued his postdoc training at University of Utah, UPENN and CHOP.
At the AAV research vector core, Jieyan is focusing on virus production, purification and lab management.
He carried out additional training in mouse model of human coxsackievirus infection, virus and receptor interaction and virus entry into cells.
His interests in research are using AAV as a tool to cure human diseases.
In his free time, he likes to spend his time with his two daughters. And he is also a very active fantasy sports player, including fantasy baseball, football and basketball.
